Throughout years hundreds of EBS students have used the opportunity to become an exchange student. The knowledge and experience gained during exchange years are highly valued among employers in the currently fast changing world.

The Estonian Convention Bureau’s annual ‘Conference of the Year’ awards ceremony took place in Tallinn on Wednesday, with the top prize going to the 34th European Group for Organizational Studies Colloquium (EGOS).

On 28 December 2018, a founder of EBS, professor Madis Habakuk would have celebrated his 80th birthday. It is almost a 30-year tradition that the faculty of EBS meets in the first week of January to congratulate professor Habakuk on his birthday and start off the new year.

We have asked the Rectors of EBS - professor Olav Aarna, professor Peeter Kross and professor Arno Almann an overview of their collaboration with Madis Habakuk.

The winter graduation ceremony of EBS took place on 13 December at the Estonian Concert Hall. Diplomas were awarded to 78 graduates including 2 Doctoral diplomas, 17 Master´s diplomas and 59 Bachelor´s diplomas.

EBS awarded two titles of doctor honoris causa at the Gala to celebrate its 30th anniversary in the Estonian Concert Hall on 8th December. A doctor honoris causa of EBS will become a person who has made a great contribution to the scientific research- and internationalisation of EBS.

It is necessary to speak more openly about the cyber threats in the public media of Estonia, so that all of us - would more clearly sense the responsibility – the carelessness and bad cyber hygiene of an ordinary person could be the result why a retail chain closes its shops for a week or some company loses a million euros and goes bankrupt, why a hospital cancels its appointments etc.

Last February, when the 30th Anniversary of EBS seemed a far future, the Rector invited his advisers to a meeting to discuss the importance of recording history. It was decided that it is important to map out the interesting history of the only private university in Estonia.

This Saturday, on December 8, key business and education figures in Estonia gathered in Estonia Concert Hall to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Estonian Business School (EBS) at the grand jubilee gala.
