EBS Olympics: where generations unite through sports!

olympics
On October 14th, the EBS Olympics, an annual sports event organized by the EBS Sports Club, took place for the 7th time. This year, there were 7 participating teams and a total of 80 participants.

The day kicked off with a group warm-up led by Cris Sten Kutti, a member of the EBS Sports Club. The Olympics program featured a wide range of activities, from traditional indoor football and volleyball to more fun challenges like arm wrestling and building card houses.

This year's competition was exceptionally close, with all teams vying for the top five positions throughout the day. The tension remained high, and in the end, only one point separated the 3rd to 5th place and the winning team from the second-place finisher. Notably, this year's Olympics saw a significant turnout of first-year students, and a record number of alumni, making up almost one-fifth of all participants.

Martin Mee, Head of the EBS Sports Club, expressed his delight with the day's events: "It's fantastic to see that we have alumni groups who continue to participate in the EBS Olympics year after year. Hopefully, this tradition will continue to grow and serve as a meeting point for different generations of EBS students and alumni, fostering connections and unity through sports!"

This year's top three teams included:
1st place (Entrepreneurship and Business Administration freshman team) - Hanna Grete Vutt, Ott Kallaste, Karl-Erik Pukk, Kalev Strazdins, Henri Leoke, Arvid Aavo Mölder, Heliisa Plumberg, Cris Sten Kutti, Lisete Neevits, Arabella Järvet.

2nd place (2nd-year International Business Administration students with alumni) - Mattias Kalamees, Han-Hendrik Piho, Grete Liis Piller, Andre Hõrak, Cathy Vahi, Antoine Ballard, Emma Gras, Martin Laude.

3rd place (alumni with Erasmus exchange students) - Sandra Kallas, Markus Madi, Laura-Kristina Matjus, Mathilda Kalamees, Aleksander Kask, Kathreen Trolla, Paula Mets, Martin Mee, Oliver Jõgeva, Sandra Paulberg, Elis-Helen Starkopf.

Many thanks from the organizers to all the participants. We hope everyone had a fantastic day, and we look forward to more exciting sporting events in the future. See you again next year at the EBS Olympics!
