Anto Liivat, EBS's Head of Bachelor Studies, and Liina Reimann, Head of Student Experience, represented the university at the International Education Fair 2023 in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, at the region's largest international education fair.

Their journey took them through key cities such as Astana, Almaty, and Tashkent. These cities are not only rapidly growing, but also becoming pivotal economic hubs in Central Asia.

They also visited the Estonian Embassy in Astana and showcased the EBS programmes during several days of the fair. The goal of these visits is multifaceted: to diversify the EBS student community by attracting students globally and to position Estonia as an ideal destination for studies in contemporary entrepreneurship and business management.

Anto Liivat commented, "Being Estonia's sole business university, we're committed to providing an enriching international learning experience at EBS. Our aim is to broaden our students' perspectives and ensure our alumni make meaningful contributions globally through successful businesses and significant employment opportunities."

He added, "In Central Asia, Estonia stands out as a digital, entrepreneurial EU nation. Young people from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, keen on entrepreneurship and business management, recognize Estonia mainly for its digital prowess and vibrant start-up scene. This reputation makes us a compelling choice for study, even when compared to institutions in the US or UK."

EBS delegation first attended the International Education Fair in 2019. "Participating in the same fair four years ago gave us an indication that the student candidates there are academically strong, ambitious, and have bold ideas,“ said Liina Reimann.

This year, the fair saw over 250 attendees expressing interest in EBS's bachelor, master's, and doctoral programs. The International Education Fair is organized by Bolashak, the Kashastan National Education Foundation, in cooperation with Univero, an organization focusing on the promotion of foreign universities.
