Green Transition and Sustainable Economy Foundations microdegree programme starts

We live in times of sustainability crisis that are not limited to climate change, biodiversity loss, and overconsumption. All the scope of sustainability-related issues, directly and indirectly, affects not only countries, regions, and communities but businesses too. There is an urgent need to address the global environmental crisis and move towards a more sustainable and equitable society.
The programme addresses the acute need for individuals and organizations to understand the principles of sustainable economics and green business practices and the social, environmental, and economic benefits of transitioning to a more sustainable economy. It covers topics such as the role of businesses in the sustainability crisis, clean technology entrepreneurship, and the importance of reducing CO2 emissions.
Aim of our new microdegree programme is  is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the transition to a sustainable economy, whether by starting their own clean-tech venture, working for a sustainable business, or advocating for policy changes.

Key points of this microdegree programme is:
 

  • The sustainability crisis and the role of businesses in addressing it,
  • The business case for sustainability;
  • Renewable energy and clean technology entrepreneurship;
  • The science behind climate change and the importance of reducing CO2 emissions;

Policy and citizen engagement in driving the transition to a sustainable economy.

Microdegree programme will be held on the period August 25, 2023 until October 20, 2023. Lectures and seminars take place every second week on Fridays and Saturdays between 10:00-17:15. As an exception some lectures can take place on Thursdays.
Learning takes place together with EBS master's students, and in addition to the lecture days mentioned in the program, the volume of the programme also requires independent work between active class sessions.
 

Registration starts via my.ebs.ee on July 1, 2023, although you can pass the consultation earlier.
Registration is available until 72 h before the first lecture of micro module or until there are free seats available. One of the prerequisites is consultation with EBS consultant before August 15, 2023. Book your timeslot here.
Participants are expected to have completed higher education and to speak English at a minimum level of B2.

From August 8, the price for non-students is €2700

Participants can apply for micro degrees or Open University courses through the online application system if they have temporary living permits or they live in EU countries. Appling to continuous education (short-term courses) does not give you a temporary residence permit/study visa
