Free Market Road Show: Entrepreneurial Solutions to Energy and Environment Challenges

The Centre for Free Economic Thought brings to Estonian Business School the Free Market Road Show 2022, organized in cooperation with the Austrian Economics Center in Vienna. After two years of seclusion due to a virus, we want to spread the freedom variant.

The event in Tallinn is entitled "Free Market Entrepreneurial Solutions to Energy and Environment Challenges". It features intellectuals from some of the world's leading free-market think tanks.

Entrepreneurs drive the economy and are the source of innovation and economic value creation in society. Their function is supported by ethics and economics, which call for a free market framework to operate at total capacity. Some of the more pressing social challenges, such as energy availability and environmental protection, could be best addressed by entrepreneurs operating in free markets with governmental protection of individual rights. Government intervention is a historical fact, and its relationship with the private sector is complex. Likewise, the educational system can actively support the free market with the right approach. Why and how would entrepreneurs operating in free markets provide better solutions than centrally planned economies? How can government and educational sectors contribute to the efforts from a principled perspective?

Speakers and agenda:

  • Welcome: Juan Sáenz-Diez (EBS, Estonia)
  • Keynote: Yaron Brook (Ayn Rand Institute, USA): The moral case for entrepreneurs driving innovation and solutions to societal issues.
  • Meelis Kitsing (EBS, Estonia): The complex relationship between public and private sectors.
  • Martin Gundinger (Austrian Economics Center, Austria): The energy crisis and green market revolution.
  • Mitja Steinbacher (Catholic Institute, Slovenia): Circular economy and how market environmentalism can protect nature and save the world.
  • Q&A and debate

It will be an in-person event, and it will not be broadcasted live. Take the chance to learn from, discuss, and meet these distinguished intellectuals in person! Please register, and see you there.
