Today, 1 September 2025, a new and exciting academic year began at EBS High School. At the opening ceremony, the Headmistress welcomed the school community, wishing everyone a good start, much strength, and perseverance. “You can already feel the autumn in the air – and in a way it’s good that the weather is rainy, as then coming to school doesn’t feel so sad,” she began cheerfully, emphasising that the regular morning rhythm and the time for learning had now returned.

On 29 August, Estonian Business School (EBS) launched the new academic year with a festive opening ceremony, centred on the inauguration and oath of office of Professor Meelis Kitsing as Rector. The ceremony brought together students, faculty, alumni, partners and distinguished guests in the EBS Assembly Hall.

Startups are at the forefront of innovation, yet they face a unique challenge: how to measure future environmental and social impact when there is no historical data to go by. 

The year was 1988; the ideological directions were set, but one man, Madis Habakuk, envisioned a different future... For 35 years, EBS has been striving towards this alternative future every day. This remains crucial today, as we face changing expectations from people and society towards education. Education is and will always be the foundation upon which individuals can build a strong career and life.
