On 29 October 2025, the Estonian Future of Work Summit 2025 will take place at the Estonian Business School (EBS) in Tallinn. The event brings together policymakers, platforms, employers, trade unions, freelancers, and academics to discuss the future of work in Estonia and the Baltics.

 

The central theme will be the implementation of the EU Platform Work Directive in Estonia and across the region. Topics include worker classification, algorithmic management, and the importance of flexibility in an evolving digital labour market.

 

The summit will feature two moderated panel discussions:

  • The EU Platform Work Directive – Implementation in Estonia
  • New Developments in the Future of Work

Speakers include:

  • Ulla Saar, Deputy Secretary General for Labour Markets
  • Mindaugas Liutvinskas, Public Policy Manager (Baltics), Wolt
  • David Mothander, Director of Public Policy (Nordics, Baltics & DACH), Bolt
  • Jaan Masso, Professor of Applied Economics, University of Tartu
  • Tauri Tuvikene, Professor of Urban Studies, Tallinn University

The discussions will be moderated by Glen Hodgson, Free Trade Europa / Freelance Movement.
