EBS Scholarship
EBS awards the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship to first-year bachelor’s and master’s students whose academic achievements, study motivation, ambition, and social engagement stand out as particularly strong. The scholarship is intended for applicants who are expected to enrich the learning experience of their peers and actively contribute to the EBS community.
For 2nd-year MBA students, we offer merit-based scholarships.
Bachelor's students
The Outstanding Applicants Scholarship is granted to ambitious and highly motivated applicants, whose previous accomplishments reflect strong academic and professional potential and who are ready to engage actively in the EBS community.
In the bachelor’s level, students cannot apply for the scholarship. All applicants who have received a positive admission decision (conditional or final acceptance) are automatically considered for the scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded by decision of the Scholarship Committee, based on the following components:
-
The quality and clarity of the admission application;
-
The result of the admission interview, which evaluates the applicant’s academic motivation, ambition, general knowledge, and reasoning skills.
The scholarship is awarded for one academic year in the form of a partial tuition fee waiver.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by 25 July.
MA students
All applicants who have received a positive admission decision (conditional acceptance or final acceptance) to an EBS master’s programme are eligible to apply for the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded based on the application, result of the admission interview and reflection paper, in addition to the overall quality of the application. These components are assessed as follows:
-
Well-prepared application;
-
Admission interview, evaluated for motivation, ambition and argumentation skills;
-
Reflection paper, offering insight into the applicant’s long-term goals and expected contribution to the EBS community.
The scholarship is awarded for one academic year as a partial tuition fee waiver.
To apply for the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship, candidates must submit a reflection paper (maximum 1 A4 page) on the following topic: "How will the knowledge and experiences I gain at EBS help me achieve my future ambitions, and what value will I bring to the EBS community?"
The reflection should:
-
Define the candidate’s personal and professional goals;
-
Explain how EBS studies will support these ambitions;
-
Describe how the candidate plans to contribute to the EBS student community – through teamwork, international perspective, or social engagement.
The reflection paper must be submitted to vastuvott@ebs.ee no later than 15 July.
The final decision regarding the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship is based on the combined result of the admission interview and the reflection paper. Together, these demonstrate the candidate’s academic potential, motivation, and readiness to contribute to the EBS learning environment.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by 25 July.
