Lead people and AI agents together
AI agents can now carry out multi-step work, such as handling a request, preparing a decision or processing a case, with people supervising. That changes how work is organised, controlled and paid for.
With senior peers, you decide where agents create value in your organisation, design how people and agents work together, set approval limits, monitoring and accountability, calculate the return on investment and plan the workforce change. On the study tour you meet Nordic organisations that already run agents.
By the end of the course you will have an agentic work roadmap with prioritised use cases, an operating model, governance, a business case and a 12–24 month plan.
This course is the third step of the learning path “Data, Automation and AI Agents”. Also explore “From Data to Decisions: Analytics and Dashboards” and “Redesigning Business Processes with AI and Automation”.
Who is Managing Agentic Work: AI Agents at Scale intended for?
The course is designed for COOs, heads of digital, operations, IT and shared services, and CEOs of service businesses.
Admission is by role, so that the group brings together leaders with similar responsibilities.
The course runs in two parallel groups: in Estonian on Tuesdays and in English on Thursdays.
Explore the course
The course combines eight sessions at EBS, a two-day study tour, independent work and practical assignments. You apply the topics to a real challenge in your own organisation.
Topics Covered

Learning outcomes
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- identify where AI agents can take over or support whole workflows, and prioritise by value and risk;
- design human-agent workflows with clear roles, approval limits, escalation and monitoring;
- build the business case: costs, ROI, investment and financing options for automation;
- set governance for agents: accountability, audit trail, data protection and EU AI Act obligations;
- plan the organisational change: roles, skills and management of mixed human-agent teams.
Meet the other participants
In week 4 there is a two-day study tour together with the other advanced groups of the same intake. There are also joint dinners, and at the end of the course you can join the alumni circle.
Completion and feedback
During the course you advise your peers and complete two milestones and a final project:
- milestone 1: prioritised agent use cases;
- milestone 2: draft roadmap and business case with peer feedback;
- final project: agentic work roadmap
You receive written feedback on each milestone within seven days. There are no exams or grades.
To complete the course and receive the certificate, you must attend at least seven of the nine sessions and present your final project.
Certificate
On completing the course you receive an EBS executive education certificate.
Learning environment
Sessions take place in EBS classrooms and on the study tour in week 4. Canvas is used for independent work.
