Admission to Master's studies
Admission to master’s studies is based on previous education, English language proficiency, professional experience, and an admission interview.
The application must be submitted via the DreamApply platform. Applicants who have completed their higher education in Estonia should apply via SAIS.
Application deadline for non-EU applicants.

Admission requirements
The suitable applicant meets the following requirements
Applicants to master’s studies must hold a first-level higher education qualification (a bachelor’s degree or a professional higher education degree).
Admission to master’s studies is based on previously obtained education, language proficiency, work experience, and an admission interview.”
Requirements by programme
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, or Management;
- Holds sufficient proficiency in English (B2);
- A list of accepted internationally recognised language tests are provided below.
- Demonstrates their motivation and drive in a catchy application;
- Completes admission interview at EBS.
Two-Year programme
- Holds a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification
- Has 3 years of management or team-lead experience and demonstrates in in their CV.
One-Year programme
- Bachelor’s or an Applied Higher Education degree (240 ECTS), or a master's degree in any field.
All candidates:
- Has 3 years of management or team-lead experience and demonstrates in in their CV;
- Holds sufficient proficiency in English (B2);
- A list of accepted internationally recognised language tests are provided below.
- Demonstrates their motivation and drive in a catchy application;
- Completes admission interview at EBS.
Two year programme requirements:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification
- Has 3 years of management or team-lead experience and demonstrates in in their CV;
One year programme requirements:
- a master’s degree or equivalent qualification and at least 3 years of work experience
- a bachelor’s degree of at least 240 ECTS and at least 3 years of work experience
- a bachelor’s degree of at least 180 ECTS, at least 5 years of work experience, and at least 60 ECTS in entrepreneurship and management-related studies
All candidates:
- Hold sufficient proficiency in English (B2);
- A list of accepted internationally recognised language tests are provided below.
- Demonstrate their motivation and drive in a catchy application;
- Complete admission interview at EBS.
Language requirements
For equal evaluation, we ask the candidates to present an internationally recognised English language test, so that results are comparable. We do not accept any other internationally recognised language tests.
Requirements for internationally recognised language tests:
- TOEFL iBT score 85 (for exams taken before January 21, 2026) or 4.5 (for exams taken after January 21, 2026). Please note that the TOEFL test result is valid for 2 years.
- IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing Service) 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component). Please note that the IELTS test result is valid for 2 years.
- Cambridge english exam CEFR level B2
- Duolingo language test score 110 points
The internationally recognised test of English may be replaced by:
- Completion of a previous educational level in USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand.
- Completion of the previous level of education taught fully in English in EU/EEA member states.
- Please note that the transcript of records must include that the studies were conducted fully in English.
- Students from other countries are required to present an internationally recognised English language test, even if they completed their previous studies in English.
Admission interview
You will be contacted to schedule the admission interview. The interview will be conducted in English and is around 20 minutes. Admission interviews take place once a month.
The aim of the interview is to get to know the applicant better. We expect you to share your story, your journey towards EBS, and your future aspirations.
We evaluate the admission interview based on 3 criteria:
- Motivation
- Ambition
- Argumentation skill
We encourage you to ask your questions about EBS during the interview.
We will inform you about admission interview result in 7 days.
If you successfully pass the admission interview you will be conditionally accepted:
- To get full acceptance we would need you to fulfill conditions that are brought out in the conditional acceptance letter. Once they are fulfilled we will issue a final acceptance letter.
Submitting an application
Create an account in DreamApply.
- You will be asked to provide your personal data, educational background, language skills, extracurricular activities and employment information.
- You will be asked to provide the contact information of two references (a teacher, tutor, co-worker, manager, etc.) who will receive an invitation via email to provide an assessment of the applicant.
- To assess the applicant’s ambition, motivation and argumentation skills, you will answer several questions about your background, achievements and future goals.
Upload proper scans of the following educational documents:
- Previous education documents (certificate/diploma and grade transcript)
- Provide authorised English translations of your documents if the originals are not in English, along with the original documents.
- NB! If your final documents are not available yet, then upload your most recent academic transcripts in English.
- Proof of English language proficiency
- CV
- Copy of passport identification pages

Tuition and Financing
Once we have an evaluation of the final documents, your status in DreamApply will change to "Accepted".
Tuition fees depend on the programme you choose and the payment options available based on your country of origin.

Paying your tuition:
- The tuition fee is for the first study year is paid in one instalment;
- The tuition fee has to be paid before your visa appointment with the Embassy;
- You will receive an invoice with a personal deadline.
- The tuition fee is paid by semester (every half year).
- The tuition fee has to be paid latest by August 25th.
- You will receive an invoice with a personal deadline.
- The tuition fee is paid by semester (every half year). You can pay the semester tuition fee in one, two or four instalments.
- A processing fee of 35 euros applies when paying in two or four instalments;
- The first instalment of the tuition fee has to be paid by August 25th.
EBS Scholarship
All applicants who have received a positive admission decision (conditional acceptance
or final acceptance) to an EBS master’s programme are eligible to apply for the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded based on the application, result of the admission interview and reflection paper, in addition to the overall quality of the application. These components are assessed as follows:
- Well-prepared application;
- Admission interview, evaluated for motivation, ambition and argumentation skills;
- Reflection paper, offering insight into the applicant’s long-term goals and expected contribution to the EBS community.
The scholarship is awarded for one academic year as a partial tuition fee waiver.
To apply for the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship, candidates must submit a reflection paper (maximum 1 A4 page) on the following topic: "How will the knowledge and experiences I gain at EBS help me achieve my future ambitions, and what value will I bring to the EBS community?"
The reflection should:
- Define the candidate’s personal and professional goals;
- Explain how EBS studies will
support these ambitions; - Describe how the candidate plans to contribute to the EBS student community - through teamwork, international perspective, or social engagement.
The reflection paper must be submitted to
vastuvott@ebs.ee no later than 15 July.
The final decision regarding the Outstanding Applicants Scholarship is based on the combined result of the admission interview and reflection paper. Together, these demonstrate the candidate’s academic potential, motivation, and readiness to contribute to the EBS learning environment.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by 25 July.
We offer merit-based scholarships to 2nd year MBA students of EBS. The scholarship is awarded as a partial tuition waiver. To apply, MBA students need to demonstrate outstanding academic credentials and their active contribution during the first year in at least one of the following ways:
- Community building. Active contribution to the EBS community by participating in the EBS Student Council and organising EBS community events.
- International outreach. Support EBS internationally, e.g. by representing EBS at international conferences, study fairs.
- Marketing. Supporting the EBS brand, e.g. by actively sharing EBS MBA study experiences on social media and at public events.
Study Investment
If you are a resident or a holder of a long-term residence permit in the Republic of Estonia, you can pay the tuition fee in instalments by using the Study Investment.
In cooperation with Inbank and LHV Bank, EBS offers study investment solutions that allow you to pay your tuition fee in instalments. A study investment is a financial service through which the bank pays your tuition fee directly to EBS, and you repay the amount to the bank in monthly instalments.
Financial aid
Students from Finland are eligible for financial aid from Kela, including the study grant, housing supplement and loan guarantees.
