Sustainability is no longer a branding exercise or a nice-to-have initiative—it’s a business imperative. Companies that want to stay competitive in export markets and work with major partners must be able to demonstrate their environmental impact and how they manage related risks. This microdegree programme provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of key sustainability issues and practical tools to integrate them into business strategy. Its greatest value lies in the ability to lead sustainable transformation systemically – aligning ESG principles, circular economy, energy efficiency, and resource management with organisational goals. Graduates will be equipped to assess the business impacts of sustainability, avoid greenwashing, and position their organisation as a responsible and innovation-driven player in an evolving economic landscape. This creates a solid foundation for long-term competitive advantage and a trustworthy reputation.
The curriculum is registered in the Estonian Education Information System (curriculum code 259535) and complies with the requirements of the current continuing education standard and the Adult Education Act.
Graduates of the programme will receive a microdegree certificate with ECTS credits.
The microdegree also serves as a strong foundation for further studies at EBS master's programmes.
The master’s level microdegree programme runs from August 21 to October 16, 2026. Lectures and seminars take place every second Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:15, total nine full days.
We value in-person learning and peer interaction, so all sessions are held on campus. Lecture recordings will be available for participants.
