This course offers essential legal insight for professionals in the creative and cultural industries, equipping them with the ability to recognize and address business and intellectual property law issues. Through interactive seminars, practical assignments, and a moot court experience, students will gain hands-on knowledge to navigate legal challenges in their daily work. By connecting legal concepts directly to students’ research topics, the course ensures high practical relevance and immediate applicability.
The course welcomes cultural managers, creative project leads, producers, gallery and museum professionals, audiovisual entrepreneurs, music industry representatives, designers, and other creative professionals whose work involves copyright, licensing, contracts, or the commercial use of intellectual property.
Participants include students of the joint Cultural Management MA programme between EBS and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, whose studies and research topics are closely connected to legal issues in the creative and cultural sectors.
The course consists of half-day study sessions held on Thursdays from 12 March to 4 June 2026.
The sessions on 23 April and 21 May will take place in the classroom and require on-site attendance; all other sessions will be conducted online.
