Know the rules and apply them with confidence

Every obliged entity needs staff who understand the rules and apply them consistently.

In this course you learn how money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions evasion work, what the Estonian Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act and EU rules require, how to carry out customer due diligence, recognise suspicious activity and report it. You apply this to your own organisation's procedures.

By the end of the course you will have a practical AML case file, including a review of your organisation's procedure.

This course is the first step of the learning path “Compliance and Financial Crime”. Next, explore “AML and KYC in Practice: Risk Assessment, Monitoring and AI” and “Leading Compliance: Regulators, Boards and a Risk-Based Programme”.

Who is Compliance and AML Essentials intended for?

The course is designed for new compliance and AML staff, customer-facing staff in banks, payment and crypto firms, and employees of accounting, legal and real-estate firms with AML duties.
