Estonian Business School welcomes exchange students from our 80+ partner universities that are located mainly in Europe, but also in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Japan, India, Malaysia, Mexico and South Korea. For international exchange students it is possible to come to EBS for one semester or for the whole academic year to study in any of the regular business courses.

Applying for Exchange Studies at EBS

We welcome all exchange students from our partner universities and free movers from all over the world. However, please note that there are some requirements that the potential student needs to follow in order to be accepted as an exchange student.

Requirements:

  • Student needs to speaks English at least on B2 level and have a certificate which proves it (details on certificate can be found under language requirements).
  • Student needs to have an average GPA 3.00 or higher out of 5.00 (or equivalent from home university).
  • Student needs to have studied in their study level for at least a semester before the start of their exchange period.

How to apply?

Please follow these steps if you wish to study in Estonian Business School as an exchange student.

First step: 

Your home university needs to nominate you through this link.

Nomination deadlines (for partner university):

For Spring semester: 15th of October 

For Autumn semester: 15th of April

We'll then look through nominations and contact chosen students with application information (which you can also see down below). Please note, we will send out application information after nomination deadline.

Second step: 

You have to fill out application form through this link.

Application deadlines (for exchange students):

For Spring semester: 15th of November

For Autumn semester: 15th of May

Once you have filled out application form, please send your English language certificate directly to ellika.eero@ebs.ee.

Accepted English language certificates:

  • TOEFL iBT score 85 (for exams taken before January 21, 2026) or 4.5 (for exams taken after January 21, 2026). Please note that the TOEFL test result is valid for 2 years.
  • IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing Service) 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component). Please note that the IELTS test result is valid for 2 years.
  • Cambridge English exam CEFR level B2
  • Duolingo language test score 110 points 
  • Home university language certificate stating the CEFR minimum level of B2

Estonian Business School reserves the right to reject students who do not have the appropriate language skills – even during their study period at Estonian Business School!

What happens after application?

We will send the Letter of Acceptance email to you and your university’s coordinator. EBS will not issue a hardcopy Letter of Acceptance by default. If you need a hardcopy, let us know by emailing Ms. Ellika Eero (ellika.eero@ebs.ee). 

Course information

Information about updated course list as well as requirements and instructions for registration, will come directly to students' emails after the application period has ended. All exchange students who wish to study at Estonian Business School need to have a (Online) Learning Agreement that is signed by three sides before the start of the semester.

Applying as a Free Mover

Free mover option is available for bachelor and master level students. 

For admission as free mover students for academic year 2026/2027 please fill out the application form here and send the following documents via email to Ms. Ellika Eero (ellika.eero@ebs.ee)

  • Bachelor students: official transcript of grades from your home university in English 
  • Master students: Bachelor’s degree diploma in Business Administration of Economics or equivalent.
    If you have Bachelor’s degree in another field then official transcript of grades of prerequisite subjects: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Financial Accounting / Financial Management
  • Certificate of an official English test:
    • TOEFL iBT score 85 (for exams taken before January 21, 2026) or 4.5 (for exams taken after January 21, 2026). Please note that the TOEFL test result is valid for 2 years.
    • IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing Service) 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each component). Please note that the IELTS test result is valid for 2 years.

  • letter of motivation (one A4)
  • a copy of your passport or ID card
  • Application deadlines are the same every year
    for autumn semester 15 May;
    - for spring semester 15 November.

Decisions will be made one week after the deadline the latest. 

Free mover students' tuition fee in 2026 Autumn semester:

Tuition fee per semester on Bachelor level (30 ECTS) - 3680€, fee per one credit 140€

Tuition fee per semester on Master level (30 ECTS) – 4200€, fee per one credit 160€

Students will be registered for a full course load of 30 ECTS. If a student takes more than 30 ECTS, an additional fee per credit will apply.
