EBS venture studio TooEarly Ventures invests €50,000 in startup developing star-based navigation
TooEarly Ventures, the venture studio operating at EBS, has invested €50,000 in Estonian startup StellarFix, which is developing a positioning solution independent of satellite navigation. Founded by Ralf Lamp and Mihkel Rannut, the company uses celestial bodies to determine location and is starting to test its solution using the Sun. The investment will enable the team to build its first prototype and test its accuracy under real-world conditions.
The idea for StellarFix emerged from a practical problem when the father of one of the founders, a ship captain, repeatedly experienced inaccurate GPS positioning. TooEarly Ventures sees a clear need for an alternative navigation solution, combined with the founders’ development experience and the team’s scientific expertise, as key reasons for the investment.
TooEarly Ventures helps early-stage ideas grow into businesses by combining funding, hands-on support and a network of contacts. The EBS venture studio supports founders both from within and outside the EBS community, helping them move from idea validation to product development and their first customers.
