EBS Staff Week 2026 Focused on Designing Meaningful Learning Experiences
From 5–9 October, Estonian Business School hosted its second EBS Staff Week, bringing together 20 participants from 12 countries in Tallinn. The international week provided an opportunity to share experiences and explore the future of learning, including how to design learning experiences that help students apply their knowledge in practice and prepare for the challenges of a changing world.
Learning beyond degrees
This year’s Staff Week theme was “Beyond Degrees: Designing Meaningful Learning Journeys.” The programme combined workshops, discussions and practical activities exploring curriculum design, service design and the role of artificial intelligence in education.
Throughout the week, participants explored different approaches to developing teaching and learning and discussed how to create learning experiences that respond to the changing needs of learners and the labour market. Particular attention was given to the opportunities offered by technology and ways to connect knowledge with practical solutions.
International collaboration and exchange of experiences
Alongside the academic programme, Staff Week offered participants the opportunity to discover Tallinn and Estonia and connect with colleagues working in higher education internationally.
Exchanging experiences helps universities share best practices, discover new ideas and lay the groundwork for future collaboration. The international setting also allowed participants to explore teaching and learning from different perspectives.
Alumni share insights on leadership and entrepreneurship
The week concluded with a panel discussion, “From experience to insight: how leaders learn and keep growing?”, featuring EBS alumni Mariell Toiger, Rain Vääna and Haver Järveoja, who shared their experiences in career development, leadership and entrepreneurship.
The discussion highlighted the importance of embracing change, continuous learning and the lasting value of relationships built during university studies.
EBS Staff Week fosters international collaboration and the exchange of experiences, creating opportunities to learn from one another and explore how to make learning meaningful in a rapidly changing world.
