Applications open for the "REOPEN" training and internship programme

Estonian Business School, together with the University of Latvia, the University of Helsinki and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, invites young people in Estonia to apply for the international "REOPEN" training and internship programme. The programme is designed for young people who are unemployed or have little to no work experience. Applications are open until 30 September, and participation is free of charge.

What the programme offers

Participants will build skills that today's labour market demands: stronger digital and green competencies, practical artificial intelligence (AI) skills for everyday work, and transversal skills that transfer across professions. The modules are highly practical and will run online from October to December 2026. On completion, participants receive a certificate and 3 ECTS.

Young people who successfully complete the training can then apply for paid internships at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Estonia, Latvia or Finland. Internships are planned for 2027, with an individual internship plan developed for each participant. After the internship, participants receive a letter of recommendation from their employer.

The programme connects three groups: a university providing in-demand knowledge and skills, employers seeking motivated future colleagues, and young people finding their footing in professional life. For participants, it is a chance to learn from experienced mentors, gain first or additional work experience, and strengthen their competitiveness. For employers, it is an opportunity to get to know potential future staff in a real working environment.

Who can apply?

• Young people aged 18 to 25
• Those with little or no work experience
• English language skills (training is conducted in English)

Up to 100 young people will be admitted to the training in each country i.e. Estonia, Latvia and Finland.

Schedule

The modules run in the afternoons on: 12–16 October, 2–6 November, and 23–27 November. Each module includes four days of three-hour online sessions, plus one in-person day in Tallinn for networking and meeting mentors (travel costs within Estonia covered). Training is delivered in English in international groups with young people from Estonia, Latvia and Finland.
