Kalle Volkov has extensive experience in technology leadership and has been working at EBS since 2026, where he heads the Product and Technology Management programme. He has led development at DELFI, the largest news portal in the Baltic states, co-founded one of Estonia's first online agencies, and served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at the fintech company Bondora. His professional track record also includes co-authoring four US patents in robotics and leading engineering organisations at scale.
In recent years, Kalle Volkov has focused on building engineering organisations and the operating models behind them. Among his most significant achievements is the platform behind Starship Technologies' delivery robots, which he built from the ground up as part of the company's first engineering cohort, growing the team around it from its first hire into one of the company's core engineering units. At Bondora he was accountable for the IT side of the company's bank license preparation, taking compliance from scattered policies to a full framework that passed both internal and external audits. He currently also serves as Head of Software Engineering at Iute Group.
His professional background reflects broad experience across product engineering, platform architecture and technology governance, with a strong focus on scaling engineering teams, reliability, and working in regulated environments.
Kalle holds an Executive MBA and a BA in Business Administration from Estonian Business School, and is a certified board member from the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance.
