H E Nicoloz Gilauri, Prime Minister of Georgia, speaks at Estonian Business School
EBS is honoured to host an open lecture by the Prime Minister of Georgia Mr Nikoloz Gilauri, during his visit to Estonia. The lecture will be held in EBS main hall, on Tuesday, September 15 at 12.00 noon.
Born in Tbilisi on February 14, 1975, Mr Gilauri served as Georgian Minister of Energy from 2004 - 2007, before becoming Prime Minister of Georgia in February 2009. Mr Gilauri was received his Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Tbilisi State University, before continuing his education at the University of Limerick, in Ireland. After his studies in Economics and Finance, he gained an MA in International Business Management from Temple University, Philadelphia, USA. Mr Gilauri’s career encompasses periods working as a fund administrator-manager for Dublin International Financial Centre as well as in the fund management corporation Invesco. He was a financial consultant for energy conservation projects at the Philadelphia Small Business Development Centre (2000), the Georgian telecommunication company Telecom Georgia (2001), and the Georgian energy market management contractor, the Spanish corporation Iberdrola (2002). From 2003 to 2004 he worked for the Georgian state electricity system and as financial controller for the Georgian state electricity system. In 2007, Mr Gilauri was appointed Finance Minister of Georgia, and First Vice Premier in November 2008.
