Estonian Business Schools Rewarded in the 2008 Eduniversal Worldwide Business Schools Ranking

10.06.2008

Estonian Business School (EBS) was rewarded with 4 ‘Palms’ as an internationally known top business school in the Eduniversal Official Selection 2008. Tallinn University of Technology gained 3 Palms as an excellent business school with nationally strong and/or with continental links.

The Eduniversal Palms were elaborated according to a complete and innovative methodology that takes into account all the aspects of the Business Schools’ influence on 3 different levels:

  • International recognition through accreditations, memberships and international, regional and local rankings
  • International awareness through the votes of the 1,000 deans
  • Suggestions from the members of the International Scientific Committee

A maximum of 5 Palms was rewarded for universal business schools with major international influence.

The purpose of these palms is to compare objectively a school of a given country or continent to another one. The Eduniversal Official Selection is published online on the website www.eduniversal.com, which is becoming the reference search engine for all new higher education projects and/or international recruitment.

The Eduniversal Official Selection is made from a global map of 1,000 Business Schools grouped by geographic zone and individual country. These 9 academic zones (Africa, North America, Latin America, Central Asia, Eurasia and the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Far Eastern Asia and Oceania) cover a total of 153 countries, inhabited by more than 97% of the world’s population.

Eduniversal’s mission is to create the first online orientation and recruitment tool dedicated to students, HR departments and the representatives of the academic spheres.

Eduniversal’s project is highly supported by the Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS) through the consultative and diplomatic membership of the official representative of the ACUNS. This member keeps an eye on the defense of universality and the representation of every country whether they are major countries of Education or developing countries.
