The new rector of EBS is Peeter Kross

On February 11th, the Board of EBS Education OÜ elected the current Managing Director of Estonian Business School (EBS), Peeter Kross, new Rector of EBS at the proposal of the founder, Professor Madis Habakuk. The inauguration of the new EBS rector takes place on March 31st 2008.

Dr Kross has been working at EBS since 2005. Holder of a Ph.D. from Moscow State University, he has been a visiting researcher in Finland at Turku and Helsinki Business Schools and obtained additional management training in the United States of America, at the University of Mississippi. Peeter Kross is the author of about 100 publications.

Peeter Kross has 20 years’ experience in the field of higher education, having been the rector of International University Audentes in Tallinn for 5 years. Prior to that he worked for 15 years as a faculty member in Tallinn Technical University and as Director of Science at Mainor Business School. He has been an entrepreneur since 1988 and is a member of the board of several Estonian listed companies. In 1987 he was one of the initiators of the so-called IME programme (’A Financially Independent Estonia’). Since June 2006 Peeter Kross has been the Managing Director of EBS.

The present rector and founder of Estonian Business School, Professor Madis Habakuk, is withdrawing from the active management of EBS, but will continue as Chairman of the Board of EBS Education OÜ.
