The Estonian Science Foundation subsidizes EBS research team project

For the next four years the Estonian Science Foundation (ESF) will provide a yearly grant of 164 000 kroons for Estonian Business School (EBS) research team project entitled “The Experiences and trends in organizational changes in Estonian enterprises”, led by Professor Ruth Alas. “This is a very positive result, showing that Estonian scientific community respects the scientific research carried out in EBS,” said Peeter Kross, Managing Director of EBS.

The EBS research team, consisting of lecturers and doctoral candidates from the Department of Management, intend to carry out several studies in Estonian companies. They will use methodologies, which are internationally recognized or developed by the Department of Management. Bachelor and Master studies students can contribute through using these methodologies to gather data for their term papers or final thesis.

The Competition for Research Grants 2008 closed on 3 January 2008. The Estonian Science Foundation Council meeting decided to support 669 projects on the year 2008 -229 of these are new and 440 continuing. The overall sum granted in 2008 is 130 million kroons.
